Chair's Message

YAHS Old Yanconians' Foundation

It gives me great pleasure to have seen the Compendium grow, from an idea based on a similar document in South Australia, to what I am sure will be a highly valuable resource for teachers, students and business in the Riverina.

It is already obvious, the benefits that can be realised in the collaboration across schools, the business sector and training institutions who have the responsibility of preparing the next generation of employees for the wide range of agricultural jobs.

Yanco Agricultural High School has a long-term reputation for producing students who have contributed to the success of agriculture and are willing to assist the next generation of students entering the workforce.

It is our intention to update the content of the Compendium annually and to maintain the relevance of the contents for future years.

It has been a pleasure to jointly fund the preparation of the Compendium with the Primary Industries Education Foundation Australia and to note the large number of individuals and organisations who have given freely of their time in its preparation.
